Know thy designer
Some designers will read your design brief, open up Photoshop, hammer out a quick and arbitrary design and move on to the next project on their list. If you’re lucky enough (and rich enough) to be employing a big-name design firm, well then congratulations. You’ve just given a few hours of un-inspired work to a confused and inexperienced intern, (though the invoice sure won’t reflect that).
That’s not always the case, but it is the risk you take when you don’t know your designer. We want to share our process and the way we work so that this never happens. If you want the results to be compelling you've got to start by knowing:
- Who is behind your design?
- What is their process?
- Why they make the design choices they've made?
- How do they define the design problem at hand?
And that's our plan for this page. Covering these points. So while we're soul-searching and channeling our inner Walt Whitmen, coming up with great stuff to share, maybe you'd like to tell us a little about yourself. Check back soon for some killer insight into our design process.
